The business of being a boat wright has never been more rewarding.  The Bay Area brings a wealth of boating opportunities and many wonderful people to enjoy them.  As a marine woodworker I take pride in my customers satisfaction and  being a boat owner myself, I find nothing more enjoyable than spending a day on the bay.

Boat Smith emphasizes quality, craftsmanship, and professionalism.  Services are provided throughout the Peninsula as well as parts of the East Bay.  Boat Smith is now also available in the Seattle area. Boat Smith is a primarily mobile operation with project specific shop space option.  

Boat Smith is owned and operated by Ciel Tierra and Art Kleiner.  They bring the experience and attention to detail of apprenticed master boatwrights.  Both of them had many years of experience working with boat owners, brokers and designers.  Ciel and Art are also boat owners themselves and bring sailing experience to every project.

If you are looking for a creative solution to a prickly problem remember that the initial consultation is free and that your problem has probably already been solved during a prior project.
