Boat Smith is proud to use only the best products and lumber.  Corners will not be cut by using home products, non-marine grade materials and substandard lumber on your boat.

If your boat is constructed with an exotic material Boat Smith can find it. For example a client had a boat whose interior was constructed of "Kauri wood" an exotic lumber from New Zealand.  The owner was convinced that we would have to use something else that looked like Kauri but insisted that we could not find Kauri in this country.  Within two hours a supplier in Wisconsin was located that had Kauri in stock.  They then shipped us a hundred board feet of Kauri via Fed Ex at a price that was only a third more expensive than Teak.
